The following are among calls received by the Hutto Police Department Sept. 13-20, 2012.

Sept. 13


•12:01 a.m.

300 Blk. Wegstrom St.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a report of theft. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the complainant who advised his wheel center caps had been stolen from his vehicle. An offense report was generated and forwarded to the criminal investigations unit. 


•5:20 a.m.

200 Blk. Sylvan St.

Suspicious Circumstances: Officers were dispatched to a report of vandalism in progress. The caller stated he observed someone trying to drill out the keyhole on his truck and actors fled in a vehicle. The owner of the truck left the scene but was contacted by phone. The truck owner stated nothing was stolen from vehicle. 

Sept. 14

•8:01 a.m. 

200 Blk. Flinn St.

Information: An officer was dispatched in response to a reported theft of a dog. The officer gathered information for a report. 


•12 p.m.

100 Blk. FM 685

Citation-Disorderly Conduct: An officer on-duty at the above location was advised of a student that used profanity in the front office. 


•12:40 p.m. 

300 Blk. CR 137

Citation-Disruption of Classes: An officer was informed of a disruption of the education process at the above listed location. The student was issued a citation for disruption of class. 


•9:14 p.m. 

200 Blk. Adriana Lane

Citation-Criminal Mischief: An officer was dispatched to a report of vehicles mudding in a field across the roadway from the above area. The officer arrived in the area and located the offending vehicles, which had trailed large amounts of mud onto the roadway necessitating clean up of the mud. The officer issued the drivers citations for the violation. 

Sept. 15


•2:16 a.m. 

900 Blk. U.S. Hwy. 79

Arrest-DWI: Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After making contact with the driver and conducting a driving while intoxicated investigation the driver was arrested for DWI. A passenger in the vehicle was released to a sober friend. 

Sept. 16 

•1:15 a.m.

1000 Blk. CR 137

Arrest-Possession/Unlawful Weapon: An officer was dispatched to a report of a suspicious person. The officer located three individuals parked off of the roadway. Two of the subjects were found to be in possession of marijuana and one of them was found to be in possession of a pistol. Both were arrested for possession of marijuana and one of them was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. 


•11:33 p.m.

100 Blk. Great Western

Arrest-DWI: Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle where the complainant advised he was being followed by another vehicle.  The officers located the suspect vehicle and stopped the driver for a traffic violation.  The driver was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.


•3 p.m.

200 Blk. Marvin Cove

Hit and Run: An officer was dispatched in reference to a hit and run. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant to learn her vehicle was struck possibly by the neighbor’s vehicle. The complainant does not wish to file charges but will speak to the neighbor. 

•6:48 p.m. 

400 Blk. U.S. Hwy. 79

Arrest-Warrant: An officer stopped a motorist for driving a vehicle with no license plates. The driver was found to have an active warrant for their arrest. The driver was arrested for the warrant and taken to the county jail for processing. 


•7:54 p.m. 

300 Blk. McCoy Lane

Criminal Mischief: An officer was dispatched to a criminal mischief in progress, involving all-terrain vehicles. Officers checked the area and were able to locate the vehicles and owners at a nearby residence. Officers spoke with the vehicle owners, who did not have permission to ride on the residential lots. A report was taken for criminal mischief. 


Sept. 17

•7:39 a.m. 

100 Blk. Marvin Cove

Juvenile Complaint: An officer was dispatched in reference to a juvenile complaint, possibly a fight in progress, at the bus stop. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties to learn an altercation did ensue, however, it is unknown if an assault occurred. This case will be followed up by school resource officers. 


•12:20 p.m. 

100 Blk. FM 685

Disruption of Classes: An officer on duty at the above listed location was advised by school administration that several students were causing a classroom disruption. The officer issued the students citations. 


•5:45 p.m. 

600 Blk. W. Front St.

Terroristic Threat: An officer responded to a report of an unknown subject driving up to a child walking home and making a threat. The child fled the area. An offense report was generated. 

Sept. 20

•6:43 a.m. 

100 Blk. Anderson St.

Criminal Tresspassing: An officer was dispatched in response to a reported person in a garage that was confronted by the homeowner. The subject then left without incident prior to the complainant contacting 911. 


•8:50 a.m. 

100 Blk. FM 685

Arrest-Possession of a Controlled Sub.: Officers were on duty at the above location and were called to a class for an intoxicated student.
