Gaither Adeas McClure, 35, pled guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 30 years in prison by Judge Burt Carnes. He will not be eligible for parole for 15 years.
A Hutto police investigator responded to an outcry from a 12-year old girl on March 29, 2010 after attending a school assembly with a speaker who discussed dating violence. The child was interviewed at the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center and explained that McClure had been sexually abusing her for eight months. A medical exam conducted at the Center confirmed the abuse.
The child’s mother contacted McClure and recorded a phone conversation in which he admitted the sexual abuse. He also confessed to the Hutto police investigator.
