Hutto PRD concert series continues

Pride and Joy Band

The third show of the Hutto Parks & Recreation Department 2008 Summer Concert Series will be held Tuesday.

The show will feature Pride and Joy Band of Waco. The group has been tearing up the local scene. It will be their second time to play as part of the Hutto PARD Summer Concert Series as they closed out the show last year as well.

This is a family affair as the Castaneda family joins together for a fun-filled night. The bass player, Tony Castaneda, handles backup vocals for his two sons, Chris on lead guitar and vocals and John on drums.

This trio has earned a reputation as an excellent live band. Pride and Joy’s “Electrified Blues,” with a hint of jazz, funk and rock, gives off a raw emotional “Great Blues” sound which only Texas can call its own.

Hutto Parks & Recreation Department teamed up with “Little Toot Productions” again this year and secured this collection of artists that are on the rise in their respective music genre.

For more information about the Summer Concert Series, please visit the Parks & Recreation Department’s pages on the City’s website at www.huttotx.gov. Look for Annual events and Summer Concerts.

Additional sponsorships for the July and August shows are still available. Call Hutto Parks & Recreation Department for more information about this series or other programs at (512) 759-4000.
