2 children test positive for meth

Hutto residents face 4 counts child endangerment

Two Hutto residents charged last month with manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine now face four charges of endangering a child.

Robert Hugunin, 35, and Jennifer Jeansonne, 30, were arrested April 18 in an operation involving officers of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and Hutto Police.

On the morning of April 18, officers searched Jeansonne’s home and found methamphetamine as well as evidence of its manufacture on the premises.

At the time of the arrest, Hugunin was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, while Jeansonne was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

Each was later charged with four counts of endangering a child. The arrest affidavits state that four children were living at the home at the time of the arrests. Both Hugunin and Jeansonne had two children of their own. The children were 4, 7, 7 and 10 years old.

According to the arrest affidavits, hair follicle test results came back positive for the presence of methamphetamine in Hugunin’s two children.

Hugunin and Jeansonne are both being held at the Williamson County Jail as of Tuesday. Bail is set for Hugunin at $160,000 and for Jeansonne at $180,000.
